So my website is finally online for all to see the link is: www.johannafalzone.com

Also I have included some photos from the Motel Installation at the Howard Johnson where I installed thread and stitched Maxi Pads and Tampons in the trash can extending onto the toilet to represent the one thing that connects women together. Select images of my book, “Caroline Carver” for the Natural History of the Senses Installation are on here of which is based on the chapter Synesthesia in the subsection about the Muse of which the main woman in this book served as my muse to create the fantastical narrative that does not technically exist, but does.

I have installed my miniature in S7 of the art building titled: Tea Time With Marie Antoinette, also I had my Bell Jar altered book installed at the counseling center last week.

In other news tonight is the Motel Installation opening, BFA is getting closer, I finished printing promotional stuff and re-doing all of my bio, statement, CV and designing a new layout for those items. This weekend most likely tomorrow I will be installing some paintings/drawings in The Closet which will be for sale.

Today has been really lazy, cleaning out a bunch of stuff, in fact I’m still in pajamas.

Here is my final sculpture piece, “Diet Chronicles of Hypothyroidism”. This sculpture’s small book centers around the daunting repetitive reminder of getting fat and trying to stay skinny while dealing with Hypothyroidism. The book sits is a nest like the actual pituitary glad sits among the interior of the head. The big book is altered from an anatomy book, the next is stitched out of the Endocrine chapter, and also represents women’s fertility and how its a crucial part of being treated for hypothyroidism and how we have higher risks of miscarriages, the book also features three vaginas, on the front and back where the pages meet in the center great vagina’s while the nest on top is also a vagina. The book is painted with watercolor, acrylic, and iridescent watercolor medium, and is sewn together with various colors of embroidery thread. The small book is made with wood, book cloth, Moleskine, 90lb drawing paper, candy wrappers, and a cereal box.

Here are the images of my Andersen books which was my final for my Indipendant Study for Book Arts. The book is about my Great Grandpa Andrew Anderson’s family and how they came to America from Norway and what cultural influences they had, traditions, and fairytales.

The sculpture was a geometric sculpture project from Sculpture 1. It reminds me of blocks and legos from when I was a kid and used to play with my brother and build cool castles for our toys.

I have renewed my love as being an artist model for Gaby Ferguson and Callie Myatt. Gaby is painting me as a bad bitch, and I posed for Callie in her “Judy The Love Doll” series.
